1421 “ARCHITETTURA”

“ARCHITETTURA”, A WOOD AND METAL TRUMEAU WITH LITHOGRAPHIC AND TRANSFER PRINTED DECORATION, DESIGNED BY PIERO FORNASETTI (1913-1988) & GIO PONTI (1891-1979). DESIGNED 1951, EXECUTED LATE 1950′S. The fully-decorated Trumeau opens to reveal six glass shelves flanking a central illuminated alcove, above a hinged fall and three long drawers, resting on tapering brass legs. The Trumeau has two Fornasetti paper labels and the interior of the top drawer has an inset Fornasetti roundel. Continue reading
